The WORST - really the WORST online shopping experience ever, anywhere

A brief vacation ruined by ordering from this company. Ordered WELL in advance, 8 days later find that my "expedited" shipping order is still being processed by the warehouse. What follows: 2 1/2 days of constant calls to the front desk, UPS, and makeup.com (none of which they answer since their "call center" is either a flimsy front for voice mail, or perhaps they are fielding loads of calls from everyone also not getting their things). I leave the beach on three occasions to go to my room and live chat on a computer since they never answer any calls.

Once I do get someone on live chat (which I had to repeat a half dozen times in the next two days), even "fixing" the order is flawed and a comedy in errors, resulting in my staying in my hotel the last day from noon until 5 PM waiting for a package that after all that time I finally find out won't even arrive for three more days, so I'm standing around for nothing! At this point makeup.com issues a refund, but I will never be compensated for the beach time, travel time, and cell phone time that I wasted over the course of three solid days over this fiasco. The best part was when the CSR told me "I'll call UPS and see what's going on", and then the only one who ended up calling UPS was me.

This company only accepts "testimonials" on their own site that are, hmmm, suspiciously good. It makes you wonder, are there no bad ones, or do they just not post them? I did a Google search to see if I was the only one experiencing something like this, and apparently they did it to someone else just a month ago. Her review is on bizrate, and mine there is pending. Hopefully it will be posted as well soon.

This company never answers the phone, requires the customer to do all the follow through after they drop the ball time and time again, and then ultimately will only get the products your credit card was tied up with a pending authorization for a week and a half (or in the case of the other lady over a month) if you're lucky. What you'll get - wasted hours, cell phone minutes, and that warm happy glow that disappears when you realize the atrocious "service" you're experiencing. Their great "customer service" that they tout so highly on their website will somehow leave what started off as a wonderful day a tainted wasted mess, as it seems that when they do mess up, they mess up big.
